Manufacturing Coalition

Learn, Grow, Work, Live in Clinton

In December 2018, the Clinton Economic Development Commission (EDC) brought together local manufacturers to form the Clinton Manufacturing Coalition (CMC). This initiative aims to bolster Clinton’s manufacturing sector through collaboration and community involvement. The Coalition focuses on four key areas:
    1. Fostering a Business-Friendly EnvironmentObjective: Create a supportive environment in Clinton that encourages the growth and retention of manufacturing businesses. CMC strives to be the voice of Clinton’s manufacturing community, helping attract new businesses to the area.

    1. Sharing Best PracticesObjective: To promote the exchange of non-proprietary best practices among local manufacturers. This helps businesses learn from one another and build a stronger, more resilient sector.

    1. Building Strong Relationships with Local SchoolsObjective: Connect local manufacturing businesses with Clinton Public Schools (CPS) to ensure students are aware of the diverse and rewarding career opportunities in advanced manufacturing. The goal is to provide students with alternatives to a four-year college and showcase the value of pursuing a manufacturing career.
Partnership with Clinton Public Schools As part of this effort, the Clinton Manufacturing Coalition has partnered with Clinton Public Schools to create the Advanced Manufacturing Partnership. This collaboration aims to:
  • Enhance student readiness for manufacturing careers through hands-on, project-based learning.
  • Raise awareness of high-demand, well-paying careers in the local manufacturing industry.
  • Offer real-world experiences such as job shadowing, internships, and apprenticeships to CPS students.
Members of the Clinton Manufacturing Coalition The CMC includes a diverse group of local manufacturers, including:
  • Bausch Advanced Technology Group
  • Kenyon
  • PFPI
  • Roper Thermals
  • Tower Laboratories LTD
Together, these businesses are working to strengthen the local economy, provide career opportunities for youth, and ensure Clinton remains a hub for advanced manufacturing in the region.
